Stayed a week at the Rosa campground. Quick, easy access to the lake from most sites. Not many mature trees near the campsites makes shade tough, especially with the persistent wind. Caught catfish and pike from the shore and boat. Will go back.

We went to try and fish in the lake but it's mainly geared for boat fishing. We couldn't find anywhere to fish on shore. The views were simply amazing though.

Big campsites by the river. Great place to get unhooked and enjoy nature. Most people were fly fishing. We visited the sites in a 3 hour radius. Aztec Village is close by for shopping and restaurants. Early April's weather was from snow to 70 degrees....More

The views are beautiful and our first day was very pleasant. Shoreline was pretty. The second night was very noisy until quite late, maybe midnight. No one seemed to do anything about it. The bathroom in the lowest campground is out of service for maintenance...More

I would come back here again and again if I lived closer. The campsites are the best, and have incredible views of the lake. We were caught in a downpour for a few hours, but after the rain was done it was gorgeous out. Park...More

A well kept park with two major campsites. RV friendly dump sites. Electric and water as well as covered picnic tables. The staff are friendly and hard working.

This is one of New Mexico's best State Parks even though we only saw one park employee the entire time we were there, the park is nice clean and quite at least in the areas that we were in. Caught several species of fish in...More

We stayed at Cottonwood, have ATT, had 1-2 bars at the river where we fished. I heard other carriers are better.

I have never fished this lake before...we are staying in a cabin on the Colorado side. I'd like to know how to fish this lake from the shore as I have no boat...what do I need to know about the fishing?

We did not fish. We only rode by the lake once in a thunderstorm and there were no people fishing.
