Welcome to Far Flung Adventures! The northern region of New Mexico offers access to unprecedented beauty, and though the Southwest is known for its incredible scenery, our rivers offer an unforgettable experience. We are located in Taos, which provides easy access to many of the finest New Mexico rivers. The best rafting in the region can be found on The Rio Grande at the bottom of a beautiful gorge, or on America's Newest Wild and Scenic River, the Rio Chama. The fun starts shortly after ski season, as the snow begins to melt, providing excellent river conditions during runoff and throughout the summer.

This is an interesting combination of a hike into the canyon, rafts coming down on horses and a mellow raft trip with just enough white water to make it interesting. This section of the Taos Box does not get many visitors because of the logistics...More

My husband and I had never rafted before, so we signed up for the trip that usually is reserved for seniors (like us) and families. We were persuaded to go for a more challenging trip, and we were VERY grateful for that advice. With Andrea...More

Got introduced to ww rafting in 1985. I've been hooked ever since. Far Flung Adventures always takes great care of me and my guests. I take a different group with me every year to celebrate my birthday and NO ONE has been disappointed yet!
