A surprisingly unique temple in Southern Vietnam!
Jan 2020
On our way to the Mekong Delta, we stopped at "Vinh Tràng Chúa", also known as "Vinh Tràng Temple" or "Vinh Tràng Pagoda". This is one of the most beautiful and venerated Buddhist shrines in Vietnam. It dates from the 19th century and occupies an area of over 2,000 square meters. The temple complex mixes different architectural styles, including Asian - Cambodian, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese - and European characteristics - French, Renaissance and Romanesque. From afar, the temple resembles the iconic five towers of "Angkor Wat", in Siem Reap (Cambodia). Along the years, "Vinh Tràng Temple" has been built and rebuilt many times, but always maintaining its peaceful atmosphere, manicured gardens, ancient trees and the multiple sacred statues of Buddha and Buddhist deities. Unmissable to all those traveling around My Tho and the Mekong Delta in Southern Vietnam! Enjoy!

Awesome Temple with massive Buddhas
Dec 2019 • Family
Must see. An ornate temple, 7 story high Pagoda, and 3 massive 4 story high Buddhas. These gardens and shrines are both awe inspiring and meditative. A working temple with monks performing services makes for wonderful photos.

on the way
Jan 2020
on the way to or from the Mekong Delta, you will pass through My Tho. The one (and only) thing to see there is the Vinh Trang Temple. First it is a really nice, older temple. And second (and for the tourists first) there are three big Buddha statues beside the temple. picture time.

Very peaceful and clean Temple
Dec 2019 • Solo
Visited this Temple as park of Mekong delta tour. 2 hrs drive from Ho Chi Minh it is a wonderful and peaceful temple. 3 big Buddha statues and a clean temple inside.

Really a place to visit is traveling so far.

Had excellent Sugarcane juice nearby temple for only VND 20000 ~ less than a dollar.

While instruction is given not to wear hat and slippers / shoes, they don't insist and I noticed lots of tourists wearing shoes. I wish they insist tourists to follow rules

Agri Katy coffee
Nov 2019 • Friends
The temples were fab worth a visit on way to Can Thou Or Ho Chi Minh. Amazing cafe next door AgriKaty. Wonderful place, great place to relax out of the sun before or after the Vinh Trang Temple. The decor is wonderful and relaxing, the staff were so so kind could not do enough, so smiley and happy. The latte was the best in Vietnam 🇻🇳 after four weeks travelling. Definitely stop off there x

serene and amazing
Nov 2019
we visited this place as part of the mekong delata tour. I love the place. I can imagine visiting the place alone, wish it's not too touristy but I wouldnt be there if it's not.

the place is just amazing, everything inside speaks of vietnam, cambodia and chinese cultures. if you're coming during hot season, don't forget to bring your hat, and if you have one don't wear them inside.

Big Buddha
Nov 2019 • Couples
This is the place to stop for pictures and prayers. Quiet and serene. It’s amazing how big the statues are.
Clean decent restrooms. A few souvenir and snack shops.
Remember to remove your hat and shoes in the religious areas.

A short visit
Oct 2019
In the afternoon, we had a free moment just before taking our bus to Da Lat. We took the opportunity to visit this temple. We went there from the city centre of My Tho to this temple on foot. You see a lot when going on foot and it is not that far from the city centre. Beautiful monuments and garden which bring you to rest. Also we saw the local Vietnamese people using this space to do their evening walk.
