This is one of the best experiences in Bali, although it's hard to start the day at 2am it is definitely worth the effort, best sunrise ever! As I was travelling alone I booked a private tour but Dodo - my guide - made it fun ubtil the top. The trekking is mediun-high difficulty (specially the last 40' on the way up as it becomes prettt steep - as other reviews explained there are motorbikes as an option to get to the too if trekking is not your thing) Besides the sunrise it is pretty cool to see an active volcano - first time I climb one! Definitely recommend this agency to do this tour, everything was just perfect!

This company was super easy to use. We did a deposit via PayPal and then paid the rest in cash on the day of. Our drivers were super friendly. Additionally, our guide, Jerokembar (Edwin), was amazing! He was friendly, hilarious, and made the hike so much more fun. I would highly recommend requesting Jerokembar as your guide when you book.

From start to finish we were treated so well, this is a MUST do if you are in Bali! Our driver collected us in Seminyak and dropped us to our guides at the base. They equip you with torches and water as you start the walk up in the pitch dark. Our guides were brilliant, we were a group of 9 with most of us being quite fit we were a fast group and our guides knew all the 'side roads' to get us around the larger groups of people who weren't quite at our pace, which was fun as we'd all yell short cut and literally run up some lesser used terrain. We did have the odd straggler and our guides we excellent at knowing when to tell everyone to have a few minutes break so they could catch up and catch their breathe. There are motorcycles all along the route that will taxi you up to the highest point they can get you to for a small fee. One of our group availed of this and her driver sat with her at the top until we got there, they talked a lot about family etc which was a really nice touch. As for the breakfast up the top, well they out did themselves considering they were making eggs & bananas on volcanic steam. We were provided with lots of coffee, boiled eggs, egg sandwiches, banana sandwiches, water, fruit & chocolate, it was well needed after 2 hours of climbing. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, we can't fault these guys, will definitely do it again :)
