This Monument records the arrival of the French Huguenots. There is a charge to visit this Monument. There is not much to see so I think the charge is unnecessary.

I couldn't find anything of particular interest here. It's the type of place you visit if you have time to kill.

The main street of Franschoek deserves at least one hour stroll. What has attracted my attention during the last visit were the unusual sculptures

Nice and impressive monument which is well maintained. It it obviously a local treasure, with huge significance to the area. Free but quite busy the day i went.

The monument looks nice but I could see it only from the distance since they charge money for entrance which is a bit extraordinary for such monuments. I wish they will change their policy soon so that people can have a proper visit.

While staying at the bottom end of town (very lovely), this Monument is situated at the top end of town, so for some exercise after a day at several wineries I walked from one end of town to the other and took in the sites....More

No need to pay to get in the park and to get closer, you can see the monument from the road and it is quite good enough

The memorial is set in a lovely park setting at one end of the Franschhoek main street. Well worth the walk to relax in the gardens.

Franschhoek means "French Corner" in Dutch/ Afrikaans, so this memorial reminds us of the 16th century religious intolerance that drove French Protestants out of their mother country and around the world. Nicely explained and presented, it is a small oasis of calm at one end...More

Imposing and look at the mountains behind. Actually the front gate was padlocked, so I think you need to pay and pass through the museum next door to get up close.
