We had such a fun morning out and about with Daniel, a colleague of Tayne Ruddock's. The cycling was not too difficult, mostly in the valley and off-road, which was great as I had not ridden a bike for a few years. I think they also do more adventurous trips for adrenaline junkies but we were mostly interested in fresh... More

Great place to hire a bike for the day and tool around the vineyards and backroads. The trails up in the mountains are a bit barren and there are few trees, so wear sunscreen!!

Don't just slob out with all the lazy folk on the wine tram go for a cycle and have a fun day out. Get a bike from the hire center and do this loop - see pic. their mountain bikes are in good condition and they have tubeless tyres so no risk of puncture! this route is gentle cycling over... More

The owner, Tayne was not available, so he put us in contact with a colleague called Zaahid, who has lived in Franschhoek for most of his life and therefore very familiar with the area. Zaahid met us at our hotel and bought the bikes with him. He discussed our requirements and preferences, came up with some suggestions, and very soon... More

My family and I (3 children, 17, 14 & 9) booked a bike tour with Tayne to take us around Franschhoek to experience a few wineries and see the beautiful area. We were kitted out with bikes and water (and also had extra sun lotion for us) and set off for the best 4 hour tour ever. Tayne is incredibly... More

We really enjoyed this (it was under the name franschhoek cycles when we did it, but same guide as above). The area is absolutely beautiful and this is a brilliant way to see the wineries. Our guide, Tayne, knew a lot about wine and loves to cycle. This was an absolutely great thing to do.

Wanted to try a different way of seeing the area and decided to tour some of the area by bike. Contacted Manic Cycles in Franschhoek and their tour guide Tayne Ruddock arranged a bike tour of Stellenbosch. We could have gone around the Franschhoek area, but glad we chose Stellenbosch. Tayne was really accommodating and helpful and we even had... More
