We emailed for an appointment. You do not need an appointment. Nice outdoor seating in the shade. Great service. We liked all their wines and they are very reasonable. This is a must stop at winery.

Joy was lovely as she took us through some of the fantastic wines they produce, and we met her son the winemaker too. Both the wine and vineyard were a great discovery. It's not a big commercial Stellenbosch vineyard, it's a small family run vineyard...More

It was great to meet you - I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the wines and the experience! We've always prided ourselves on having wines that out-perform their prices, so it's great to have vindication on that front. Looking forward to seeing you at the...More

A bitterly disappointing wine tasting that left us amazed how previous reviewers rated it so highly. We have done perhaps 20 wine tastings in and around Franschhoek and Stellenbosch but found little to recommend at Stony Brook. The tasting was extremely expensive by SA standards...More

I'm so sorry that you had such a poor experience at our farm! Yes, we do charge a R80 tasting fee, which will generally include between 6 and 9 wines depending on the day, which we feel is quite generous. The wines are all made...More

A very pleasant smaller-scale winery. Tastings are by reservation, so the numbers are limited to a few tables in the shade, looking out to the vines and the mountain. The wines they poured were all tasty, and you can wander around after. They don't ship...More

Thanks for the lovely review! Unfortunately we don't ship directly to the US, but we do have an agent operating out of Chicago - Blue Crane Imports. It might be worthwhile getting in touch with them if you are anywhere close to Illinois!

We really enjoyed our tasting. Flavourful wine and creative blends. My favourites are The J and the Syrah Mourvedre Viognier. Wonderful rose sparkling wine too. Somewhat eccentric vineyard for those that like to go off the beaten track. Call ahead for opening times.

Roeboy's review very nicely captures the experience of visiting this family run winery. This was our first stop on a half day wine tasting tour with Camino Wine Tours (highly recommend them). It is a lovely setting and the wines were very good and our...More

We enjoyed beautiful wines in a gorgeous setting while talking to a very knowledgeable and passionate hostess. We weren’t rushed. The lady helping us had time to explain the wines, grapes and process. The views of the valley and mountains is lovely. We are sad...More

Cosy, rustic wine tasting, in a wonderful mountain/trees setting. The standout, of course, was the wine - especially the whites. I can highly recommend the Sauvignon Blanc, the 'J' (blend of Sauvignon, Viognier and more) and, of course, my favourite, the Ghost Gum white, Chardonnay...More
