Even though South Africa is experiencing a severe drought at the moment the falls are still worth a visit. The walkways and look out points are all well maintained. The chalet we stayed in was one with a view which I recommend and although a little dated it was large, clean and also well maintained. The Baboons are a bit... More

My friend and I spent the night at Augrabies National Park. The accommodation was very comfortable and very clean. The only problem was that our Chalet, no 29 was right next to the recycle bins, which were all full and had the lids open. While I was in the kitchen a great big baboon came in and tried to open... Magnificent waterfalls - even though not in full/overflowing flow which you will see after good rains. However, the walkways have been well maintained and good barriers, and the look out points that have been created cannot be seen from the other look out points which means that your view from each point is not obstructed by the other look-outs. Friendly... More

Although the North Cape was experiencing a drought the falls were still flowing but not free flowing. Saw photographs of when these falls had been in flood in the past, near the reception area, which were spectacular but a bit scary. Had lunch at the Quiver Tree Restaurant, which a separate review has been done, which was fine.

I visited the Augrabies Falls while working for a while in Kimberley. It was a 5 hour drive to Upington where we stayed and a further hour to the park. I was definitely worth the journey, to see this majestic waterfall in this sometimes rather Barren area. The falls are seasonal, do take this into consideration when you plan your... More

Even after what has been quite a dry season for South Africa the Augrabies waterfalls national park still boasts a mystical aura about it. The falls are truly a spectacle to see with the jaw-dropping 18km long gorge. Just a few minutes drive from the viewpoints of the falls one is treated to a view like no other - Echo-corner.... More

I went to the park because I had a whole day in Upington before the night bus I was leaving on. It was something to do, and I like waterfalls. Although the falls were comparatively meager in the dry season, the terrain around them is most interesting. My driver suggested a game drive, which I was not too keen on... More

Visited the Park on the way to Gauteng. Reception was very friendly, helpful and informative. The lookout points are impressive and the falls even more! A drive though the park also revealed interesting sights like the Moon Rock, whilst antelope like the Klipspringers were highlights! DEFINATLY worth a visit!

The landscape of this park is amazing, we expected dry and boring with it being the dry season but we were pleasantly surprised and wished we could have stayed more than one night. We saw animals like gemsbok and other various antelope and small creatures. We stayed in the Gorge Cottage, what a view even without a huge amount of... More

A tour of the Water Zfalls us a must. We also too a drive over the marked out route around the Nation Oark, with some spectacular views and sighting of animals.
