What a bummer! Went there at 16:00 as according to their website, the museum is opened until 17:00. Not so - the opening hours are from 10:00 to 15:00. Am leaving tomorrow morning so no museum for me. Am really disappointed.

I came straight off the beach with my haul of shells keen to identify them....and then got distracted by lunch (Kitchen windows - excellent!) and left them in the car. No matter, the shell museum has every type of shell which can be found in the area - and many many more from around the world. I was shown round... More

Surprised by all the shells and interesting to see where you could find them. Guests are talking about all the shells in Jeffreys Bay and that they could go there to find the names.

Thought it would be a bit of fun but was actually a really interesting visit. Incredibly helpful staff willing to show you around or you can walk around yourself and look at the most amazing collection of shells from all around the World and lots from right here in Jeffrey's Bay.

A nice and interesting way to pass some time. The display of shells are good and really nice to read and see all the shells we just take for granted on the beach.

It's FULL of history. Beautiful selection of shells. One can visit the museum often times and every time you'll see something that you missed on your previous visit. Very educational for the youngsters. Very pleased and friendly staff.

When you walk along the beach you see so many shells ... you can't help picking them up and taking them home. If you pop into the museum you can learn all about them. A very helpful and informative guide showed us around then left us to discover more on our own.

This is a nice place to simply marvel at the world of shells . The shells are nicely presented and the cute things that have been made are very imaginative . Lovely for children to see and something different which sums up J Bay
