Large amount and great variety of animals. There is a nature walk inside the fence at the main camp to learn about the plants. A wonderful place. It's great to drive around on your own. You can wait as long as you want for animals...More

if you want to see loads of elephants, without heading inland, then Addo is the place. it is definitely worth a visit. But, after a pile of elephants and then not getting to close to anything else, the child lost interest. We spoke to people...More

I can not explain or describe how many elephants we saw whilst driving around. We did a self drive and the roads were very driveable. We didn't see much wildlife apart from elephants but it was still such an incredible sighting that it didn't matter.

We stayed in a Safaritent with two single beds, shared ablution and kitchen area. The tent had a wooden deck overlooking a part of the reserve. This was good value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient. The ablution shower areas are small and...More

The knysna Elephant park is really for kids where you can get up close to the elephants and feed them, Addo is huge and has a far greater range of animals but they are wild so you can't get near them like you can at Knysna.

4 is fine. I went with my 2 year old. You are in your car most of the time, unless you are at a picnic spot. They do not allow kids under 12 on the game drives.
