Absolute highlight of my South African trip. I was amazed by the variety of animals we saw. From sung beetles to buffalo (and lots and lots of elephants of course). We stayed 2 nights in the park and went on 2 guided game drives, as...More

We did our safari drive of addo just after we’d done our 3 day visit to sabi sands at kruger, so it was interesting to compare the two. I want to give my negative view first and then finish with the positives which are strong....More

We took a guided tour (Crisscross Adventures), but you can drive through the park. Lots of elephants and zebras and warthogs and kudus, we were lucky and saw buffalo and lions too. It has a restaurant and a gift shop. You can bring a picnic...More

The Addo Elephant Park is a well maintained National Park. You may drive on your own or take a tour with rangers from the Main Camp. We enjoyed a few days in the park and saw everyday a lot of animals. Its a great location.

Self-drive park that is flush with animals, and unlike many game reserves in South Africa, there were very few other people. If you're staying in the park (which I recommend), you can enter at 6 am and catch some great scenes as the sun is...More

Absolutely Fantastic - a day full of life time memories! We had read some amazing reviews and Addo stood up to all of them. Magnificent close up encounters with elephants and zebras. Saw several other gorgeous wild life as well. An amazing day.

If you like elephants then don't miss this national park. You can drive yourself or go on guided tours and game drives. We saw over 100 elephants as well as other animals

A slow drive through the park is so revealing - and it has to be slow as the speed limit is 40kph and much of the road surface demands low speeds. This is just as well as you never know which animal may step out...More

A great day out at Addo Elephant National Park. Not just for the elephants but a variety of animals spread throughout the park. Nice and close to Port Elizabeth which gives you plenty of time at the park for viewing. Many of the elephants are...More

Loved our week in the Addo area, with many close elephant encounters. Missed the lions, but did see buffalo and even a turtle and a puff adder on the night drive!

Can I request 2 particular Safari Tents in Main camp or do you have to take what you get? Being family, we would like 2 tents next to each other.

One walks along individual paths to all of the 5 tents. Rather like going in a maze as the bushes are very high.....The tents are very private and you cannot see any other from yours. The water hole is just behind a 6ft... More
