When I was a little girl the ocean was up and under the rides. Now you have to walk very far to get to the water. Thank you who ever thought of the beach taxi and for the senior discount. The beach was clean except for a group of people who thought it was okay to just leave the garbage.... More

What can you say about wildwood beaches? Other than that long walk out to the water, there really isn't anything negative to say. The ocean water is great, the kids always enjoy looking for sand crabs and having them race. Plus the beaches are FREE!!! The boardwalk is close by, so when you get tired of sitting by the water,... The beach was very clean but the walk from the boardwalk to the ocean was very long. There were little golf carts who would transport you each way for $3.

We've been coming here for many years and have watched the many changes take place. But it remains our go-to vacation spot. Planning carefully, even those on a tight budget can go there and have an enjoyable time. BEST free beach around. I have noticed though that there are many more inconsiderate people leaving their trash on those beautiful beaches.... More

Be prepared to walk across a big stretch of sand to get to the ocean, but it's a free beach! No beach tags required!

We had a great time in the beach last summer. Only we needed to bring our own sun umbrellas and the chairs. But the water was clean, anyway. There was a walking wooden area, which is good for easy walking there.

We typically go to Ocean City but went here for the waterpark this year. The water is slightly colder as to be expected and it's quite a walk across alot of sand to the actual ocean which may be tougher for young/elderly/disabled folks but otherwise a great beach. No jellies seen for us in July and lots of sand crabs... More

There are lifeguards which adds a sense of security for those nervous of the ocean. One thing about it is that it's very packed in some locations like near Morey's Piers. Other then that, it is a very relaxing and nice beach.

My girlfriends and I spent the day at the beach in Wildwood. The beaches were very clean and the water was beautiful. There was a place to rent chairs and umbrellas. Not over crowded at all. My only critique is that smoking is still allowed on the beach which can make the air unpleasant.
