We only took a short trail. But with the fine weather, lots of snow, kind service (thank you Kim) it was wonderful! The rent of skis is not cheap ~30$ per person including pass.

This is a really nice State park, with interesting views from the top, several easy but interesting hiking trails, a lake with a beach, and, of course, the High Point monument, built to honor NJ war veterans. Worth a visit!!

High Point, located directly off Route 23 North (with a visitors center across the street from it) commend a huge promontory from which you can see NY, PA, as well as NJ. Going up the tower is not a great attraction except fro kids. The park has several lakes, trails, and campsites. The main lake, Lake Marcia, is a good... More

We would have loved to climb this monument, but it is closed in winter. Still, the views are exceptional and the access roads are easily passible.

I live about 5 miles from High Point Park.... have been going there my whole life. A great historic monument that can be seen for miles.. and miles around! Great picnic areas, camping areas, and beach! plenty of room to spread out. Great for family group outings.

We went snowshoeing here with our 2 little kids and we all had fun. Affordable pricing, even for cross country skiing! Friendly staff at rental center . It is definitely a great park to visit for all seasons!

High Point has the honor of being a New Jersey park that is used by more New Yorker's than New Jerseyite's. First be sure to stop at the visitors center, right across from the main entrance, and get a map of the park. The park has several lakes and many miles of hiking trails including a section of the Appalachian... More

We went in late October. It was cool breezy weekend. we arrived in afternoon. The colorful Fall views was big surprise to me. On clear sunny day, park offers miles and miles of beautiful views. The monument at the top was closed, but does offer best There are picnic areas, swimming, nature exhibits and clean restrooms.

As a hiking destination, my wife and I did the AT-Iris Loop. Though not awe-inspiring, but a pleasant time. After hiking, I walked up to the monument that marks the high point of New Jersey had a great view ( and I can now check off the New Jersey highest point off the list of highest points in each state).... It's a terrific park with a few lakes, good trails. You can pick up a map from the visitors office which is located right across the entrance to the park off Rt 23 (open 9-4). There are paved walking paths, one starts right after you pass the toll booth on the right with the sign "scenic route." The views from... More
