Very good permanent and visiting collections. But it is rather small if you're used to the Met etc. Friendly staff in the middle of the campus.

Excellent collection of paintings of Bhagvat Geeta and Ramayana. Well preserved and presented. Most of the paintings done in Mughal dynasty shows the emperors will to respect and merge the culture. Too bad it is far divided now.

The Princeton University Art Museum is a great way to spend an afternoon. The building is located on campus so parking may be a problem. Parking in Princeton is always a challenge since the city sees meters and parking tickets as revenue raisers. Nonetheless visiting the museum is worth the effort and the aggravation of the parking. It's a wonderful... More

This is not a huge museum with mega exhibits but nor is it a very small one. A decently sized museum with lot of artefacts and exhibits will take you a couple of hrs to go through minutely. What I also like about them is that they keep changing their exhibits. The campus around it, the awesome Princeton University adds... More

We visited for the first time and were very impressed with the museum, it is small but worth visiting. The staff especially the guard in the Egyptian section made it truly wonderful, he was from Egypt and took the time to explain to my son who loves Egyptian art. It was a great experience and we hope to go back... More

This is the second best art museum in New Jersey (Only the Newark Museum tops it). Really worth a look at. The medieval collection is excellent. Check for special exhibits. Always pleasant to walk around town. Don't miss the Battle of Princeton Monument and the historic cemetary.

I haven't gotten to see a lot of the shows there, but it's definitely a place worth visiting. No charge, but a donation is very welcome. Nice variety of art.
