First off, I did not do the tour but I checked the place out in advance for elderly guests. The road to the preserve can be steep but it does handle plenty of Rvs. I imagine it can be icy in winter, so take care. I believe the reviews are accurate that this is an amazing place, but there are... More

thank you for the 5 star review but Seems kind of unfair to write a review at all, when all you did was drive by? if it was a weekday yes we do class trips for schools so there could have been kids there. we are not going to turn away someone if their hair is pink! Weekdays are also... More

The animals are well kept in some of the largest and well thought out natural Enclosures I have ever seen. The owners an very nice and very informative. They are also very good public speakers. Nothing is more uncomfortable then listening to a talk from nervous public speakers. Great for the whole family or even an impromptu day date .

My fiancé and I went to the preserve this afternoon, and it was awesome. The wolves, foxes, and bobcats are beautiful. The animals were very playful and attentive to their audience. You can tell they are well cared for. Hearing them howl at the end of the tour was awe inspiring. The owners were very knowledgeable. It was a fun... More

Went to the Lakota Wolf Preserve for the 1st time today (11/15/15). Had a great time. The tour was very informative and the sounds of all the wolves in unison was a very spiritual experience. Wolves are amazing partners on our planet. Smart, intelligent and beautiful. Totally recommend this venue if you like animals, nature conservation and beauty.

Lakota Wolf Preserve is a treasure to visit. It is located in Taylor Campground and you take a short bus ride back to the preserve. They have four enclosures for the different species of wolves they have. The tour guide gives a great talk about the different wolves. There is an option for photographers to get close to the wolves... More

Seeing the wolves, learning about them and then hearing the group howl was awe inspiring. In addition to the rescued wolves there were bobcats and foxes. The guides really loved the animals.

Passionate owners provide a narrated "tour" of the preserve. Basically you are walking a single corridor which allows observation of four groups/packs of wolves--24 total. In our case, the wolves were plentiful and came right up to the fence to facilitate viewing. They were also accommodating in terms of howling on command. There are also fox and bobcats in a... More

We enjoyed our visit to the preserve, loved the antics of the foxes during their part of the tour. We missed most of the Bobcats. At the end of the wolf tour we were not directed to leave immediately or we would miss the tour. They did not give more than half the members of our tour group enough time... More

Sorry you were disappointed, but at the end of the wolf presentation everyone is told that we are moving to the fox and bobcat area and the guide moves with the crowd. you must have seen the rest of the crowd leaving with the guide and going to another area? . If some people choose to stay with the wolves... More

An absolutely wonderful place to visit! We took the bus ride up from the parking lot; a short jaunt. The price of admission is $15. Well worth it. The guides are extremely knowledgeable & very interesting to listen to. The wolves are beautiful & well cared for. We actually got to hear the wolves howl! There were also bobcats &... More

11 acres of wolves kept in behind fences but not in cages , as close as you will see them outside natural habitat. Great guides , beautiful animals
