Came up for a weekend of skiing, spent 1200 dollars in Waterville Valley. Guess that wasn't enough! There were two cops that set up around the resort giving tickets to people. I didn't get a ticket but watched them give out several over the weekend driving back and forth. Stay somewhere else.

The skiing was great. Even on a busy vacation week with great conditions the lines at the lifts were not too long and the employees at the lifts were quite friendly. The value is fair if you book online. The mountain was very pretty, too. However, the free shuttle service was terrible! MBTA riders might find the service comfortingly familiar:... More

Went for snow tubing recently. It's located near the golf course and uses the golf clubhouse as the base. We went up to the mountain and came back looking for this. Great small tubing facility. You walk up the small hilll and tube down the staff take the tubes back up again. There was rarely a wait - it's smaller... More

Waterville had a good mix of snow sports for beginners and is very easy to grab shuttle bus from most hotels and lodges in town for a free, 10 minute ride to the ski resort. Rentals are easy to make and lifts for beginners and intermediate skiers and snow boarders are close and even at a holiday like New Year's... More

Never get tired of this mountain. Love the selection of trails and the lifts are pretty awesome. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, but it's always worth it. I've taken snowboarding lessons from them, and they are excellent.

Waterville came highly recommended to us by several people so we were excited to go skiing there. My wife had only gone skiing once so she needed lessons. The instructor did not really give her the time or patience to help her learn and she and another friend of ours both did not finish the lesson we paid for as... More

Rediscovered Waterville Valley this summer after 40 years. I went to Waterville Valley once when I was a child but had not been back since. I always remembered there was something unique about it but I could not remember why. Waterville Valley Resort is literally on a dead end road 10 miles into the white mountains. There is not traffic,... More

Waterville Valley is a ski resort in Waterville, New Hampshire, the birthplace of freestyle since it actually is where freestyle started. In total, the mountain has 50 runs and 11 chairlifts. It is a moderately small mountain, being 4,004 ft in summit elevation and it has about 220 acres of skiable land. The snow guns cover all of the mountain... More

This has got to be the nicest all around ski resort in New Hampshire. Calling it New Hampshire's family resort is an understatement. From easy trails for kids and novices from the top of the mountain to expert trails for the young at heart, this placed offers any kind of trail you could imagine-all the time you get fantastic majestic...
