This place is so worth to drive a country mile over to Sugar Hill. Wonderful vistas back to the Mountains. Then you enter the hamlet of Sugar Hill and discover a time machine! Circa 1940, antique red and filled with cheese!! TIP: Country Selfie pics inside and out. The cheddar is an absolute must. Served in the Best Restaurants in the USA. Take a small hand wrapped package to go (serve it with a slice of fresh apple) but really consider sending or ordering some for home. They ship.…

This is not a place you happen to drive past because it is well off the the beaten path however you should make a point to stop here if you are in the area. Sugar Hill is smaller than a one light town but is filled with quaint New England charm. Harman’s is the only retail store in the town and you can tell it’s the center of activity. Cheese is not the only thing available (but the cheese is amazing); drinks, fresh produce, gifts, jellies and jam, and even Moxie can be found in this little gem of a store. the drive to Sugar Hills is beautiful and the trip to Herman’s is well worth the drive.…

This teeny little store is a real gem. It has cheese, candy, souvenirs, calendars, clothing and well worth the drive from Polly's Pancake Parlor. Not to be missed!
