This was my first visit to the White Mountain area and my husband wanted to show me this natural wonder. This is an easy walk and well worth the time to stop and see it.

We had a short walk to The Basin and viewed the various cascades etc along the trail. Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated during our walk so that we didn't get as far as we had hoped. However, we did reach The Basin itself which is a...More

We parked our car and took the short walk to this attraction. Really a good spot for photos. Crystal clear water and erosion of rocks by water.

The family and I made a nice little pit stop at this location. We didn't spend a lot of time, but viewing the basin was neat and the trails are fun for the kids and adults alike.

Very enjoyable. A great outdoor experience for the family. Enjoy hiking and mountain sightseeing along the running water. The walking and bike path here at Franconia Notch Park is great.

The basin is an easy, mostly paved hike from the parking area. The trail continues up the mountains to a waterfall. This hike was a little steep, but not too far. Worth the effort.

A short quarter mile walk from the parking area...all handicapped accessible! Beautiful waterfalls and basin reaching depths of fifteen feet. Worth a quick hour stroll

An easy, accessible hike that brings you to beautiful waterfalls and rock formations. However, you can make it into a longer, moderate hike by going up to lonesome lake and back.

Our kids are older now, 19 and almost 13, but they still love nothing better than a stream with lots of big, flat rocks to play on. This area was beautiful with a short hike to the basin. We, of course, took nearly an hour...More

If you are amazed by water in a "rock basin" you'll be delighted. Otherwise just a normal northwoods sight in the New England states.

I did not get to the flume on this trip but there is no fee for the basin. There are signs on 93 both sides for the basis with free parking. This is a must see if you are able to
