It is so worth a stop here to see the fantastic power of nature. It's a short walk and there is no fee. Even if you aren't a nature buff you will be taken by its natural beauty.

The hike along the cascades to Lonesome lake is spectacular any time of day but especially during golden hour. The visitor info center is very informative.

Yep. That’s right. A non-ambulatory person who uses a wheelchair may access this trail. In fact, a portion of it is paved and intersects with the bicycle/pedestrian trail. Many trails intersect with the Basin. It is FREE, and no parking fee is collected. Buses and...More

Short easy pathway to see this beautiful basin carved by water into the underlying solid rock. We first visited here with our children many years ago and it is no less beautiful today.

Short walk from the parking lot. Very easy loop, with established paths. A few areas to get your feet wet if you’d like. Good for kids. Worth stopping but for us is a one time thing. Definitely nice on a hot day, was very crowded...More

There’s no reason not to go see this place. It’s amazingly beautiful, beyond actual compare. Hidden but easily accessible. And, there are miles of walking paths (for handicap, plus size folks like myself, and people carrying children or strollers) around the basin and the water...More
