I wouldn't recommend going here on purpose, but if you're in the area it is somewhat interesting. Local schools host art shows here, that is fun to look at. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The pavilion outside is nice.

During the spring the mill offers a day trip program for 4th graders. Schools from as far as Vermont and Massachusetts come to participate. If your school doesn't offer this I'd highly recommend it. It covers everything from the geography of NH and pollution to engineering and technology.

Once again, the volunteers did a great job teaching our fourth graders about the importance of Belknap Mill. Thank you for all your hard work!

For a breathtaking 360 degree view of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range, highly recommend ascending Belknap Mountain in Laconia. To reach trailheads for the shortest hikes up, pass through a neighborhood and past a parking area, where the road narrows. drive up this very windy Carriage Road for 15-20 minutes until it dead ends at a parking lot. Went to the mill to view some paintings on display by local artists. This is a well maintained historical building and has a working mill inside that was used to produce hosiery in the early 1900's. The mill has several business offices in it and is capable of hosting small gatherings and weddings.

Transformed into offices... some functions are held there and city hall is located in one - did a nice job -still remember my parents working for a living in another town close by. Hard jobs that they did every day for 8 to 10 hours without complaining - brings back memories better left alone..... Still, it's pretty...
