But it was worth the 30.00!!! A little passed mile 4 the road was closed ( due to snow). At the turn around to head back down , there was a portable potty. Luckily another car was there and a man directed us to a small path that led to a fantastic view. They warned us at the gate ahead... More

Ok - unless you are afraid of heights. Otherwise, you really DO have to try it at least once. With a camera. Not the best drive for your brakes, but you can actually take a van up and let someone else do the driving...

Very scary, not for the faint of heart. Driving this was extremely nerve racking. I was so nervous. But I came back to hike it 2 months later which I felt much better about.

It was amazing the drive to the Auto Rd but when we got there was close and we didn't know. Wish it was open. But was a great experience.

The road may be less than eight miles long, but prepare for a half hour to 45 minute drive up the mountain!! While some areas are fairly easy, there are spots towards the top of the mountain that will not be for the faint of heart!! You'll want to be careful when the road gets narrow and you and another... Taking the Snow Coach on the Mt. Washington Auto Road is a great experience. The Coach takes you to about 3/4 of the way up above the tree line and stops for a good while for you to take in the breath taking view. Our driver, Dexter, was informative and funny and a great guide. Highly recommend this unique view... More

Not for the squeamish...narrow 2 way road on the side of a mountain! Nervous and exciting with plenty of areas to park for scenic views. The peak was great and the gift/snack shop offers a place to catch your breath and take it all in. Very cool.

Ride in an unusual van with what appears to be tank treads. This tour climbs the Auto Road to an elevation of about 4,300 feet - right at the tree line. On our trip there was at least 3 feet of snow packed onto the road. The views were absolutely stunning. We took the option to snow shoe our way... More

Took the Snow Coach up to 4 mile marker. Great trip! Informative, gorgeous scenery... and got to get out and walk around. So worth the money. Check on Great Glen Trails for discounts when you stay at special hotels/inns.

Had a great time on the tour even though it was pretty foggy. Our guide Bill was very nice and kept us laughing with his anecdotes. He was extremely knowledgeable about the mountain and wildlife. Would recommend this experience!
