This is a fun museum - parking can be a little tricky to find, but they do offer a small free parking lot (shared by the Dover indoor swimming pool - follow the signs). Otherwise, street parking in Dover is relatively cheap, especially compared to...More
We went to the Children's Museum today in Dover, NH. We really enjoyed it. On a cold winter day, it was a great place to be inside and let my toddler interact with the exhibits. We arrived at opening and parking wasn't an issue for...More

Hi Jeanne, while the majority of our visitors are younger, between the ages of six months to 8 years, a lot of older kids do find our exhibits fun. There's a lot of fun technology used in many of our exhibits, and the Muse studio is a place for all ages to create things in an open-ended way.
I'd encourage you to give it a try. If none of the exhibits in the museum sound appealing, I would suggest bringing them to the August 29th, 2015 Dover Mini Maker Faire, which takes place in and around the CMNH. That will have a lot of cool inventions and workshops perfect for 14 year olds, or any age for that matter.
Thanks for the question!
