This is an excellent hiking area just outside of Concord. There are shorter and longer trails (very well-marked) winding through a dense canopy of trees next to a small lake. The warmer weather during our visit was ideal for seeing the Fall colors.

We took our granddaughter there while on vacation. It was a nice walk in the woods. There were a few thing for her to see, several animals. She had a good time.

This park is only a few minutes from downtown Concord. It has hiking trails, a nature center, a gift shop and provides a home for disabled birds. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our visit, but wished we had brought bug spray along.
