This river is always fun to dig around in. The gold flecks are there- you just have to put a little work in to find them.

There is a covered bridge (Swiftwater Bridge) where rt112 intersects with Porter rd. Take a left right after you cross the bridge. Walk 100ft to the river, great spot to swim,or climb up to the rocks and soak up the sun. For some great ice...More

The highway up the mountain runs along the side of the river. It is stunning scenery and well worth the effort of going to our destination via this valley.
