"ro-day-oh" or "ro-dee-oh"- The word we use to describe cowboy competitions comes from the Spanish word "rodear," which means "to surround." The event is an experience for all ages and interests to enjoy. The Reno Rodeo is very well known and entertaining. The competitions are...More

This rodeo is O/K, but not great. Other rodeos are much better - such as Cheyenne Frontier Days, Ft. Worth Rodeo, Denver, Houston. The traffic and parking at this rodeo is absolutely awful.

Took my grandfather (an 89 year old honest to goodness cow man who knows every damn trail in the sierras) and we had a wonderful time. Very impressive local talent, beautiful and well cared for stock, and lovely warm weather. Awesome rodeo!

Sorry, I can't help, we just went to watch the Rodeo competition. If you go to the Reno Rodeo website, there may be more information.
