A few short blocks from our room at Circus Circus. Our first visit here and we loved it! Cool urban backdrop along scenic Truckee River. Some cool eateries, coffee shops and craft brew stops. Cool place to hang out for a bit.

This is not only a good place for a walk, but it is also a relaxing place. In an area where there is so much going on, a person can take a timeout and retreat to this scenic waterway.

Very run down area now, with rough sleepers a distinct feature. Did not feel particularly safe, even during the daytime.

I had been told about the Reno Riverwalk district for years, but until this past Memorial Day weekend, I had not gone there. It is beautiful. We strolled a long way and stopped to refresh ourselves a the Sierra Nevada Tap House. It is lovely!

This was a trip back in time to re-create a trip my mother & I took in 1981. We stayed in a Hotel that was on the River, which I think is where the AT&T building is now. I'd remembered sitting listening to the River...More

Walked down to the River Walk from the El Dorado, about 4 blocks. Walked along the river and stopped at a tap house to enjoy a beer. Continued walking along the river and then back to our hotel. Got a good walk in. Loved being...More

I chose to take a morning walk up and down the river area. The arched brides are interesting and the murals and sculptures are points of interest. The historic buildings, especially the churches offer a glimpse of the city's history. There are not many businesses...More

It's nice as a boutique shopping district goes, and it's nice to be on the River Walk, but I didn't find anything particularly notable about it.

Looks like several people have already answered your question. I would walk south through the casinos and out the door of the ElDorado its a very quick walk 5 - 8 minutes along the old strip to the River. From there you... More

Yes, business will be open all year, sans the outdoor eating areas. More businesses and shops coming in all the time.
