This park is the host of the balloon launch in September as well as a number of community events. We saw people taking wedding and quinceanera photos and many, many family barbecues. Oh, this place is very popular with dogs and their owners (most of whom take their pets off leash on those trails that require them to be on... More

Had some time to kill before my daughter's volleyball match at UNR. Got my hiking shoes on and headed over to the park with no expectations. The arboretum was fantastic. Happened to be a gorgeous day in early Oct so tons of folks there getting photographed for their special occasions. I can see why. They offer several walking/hiking paths, with... More

The Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is about a mile from the casino area. It is mostly uphill but if you walk at all it will be an easy hike. The park features many walking trails, an arboretum and a museum. You walk thru the University of Nevada to get there. Do it, you will be glad you did.

I'm a Reno native, & yet somehow failed to realize there is a beautiful escape from the daily grind within our city limits: Rancho San Rafael. A friend got married there (Honey's Garden) & I was introduced to some of the most beautiful places you'll ever go. There are well-maintained, well-marked paths, plenty of benches for sitting & enjoying the... More

Wonderful place to take a walk, enjoy the flowers, trees, etc. Children enjoy it, too, and there is a playground.

This park is so close to the heart of the city that it u is a must visit when visiting reno. Lots of open space for a walk or a picnic. Very well kept and not too crowded. A museum and a garden to enjoy. Lots of paring and if fido joins you there is a great open dog park.

Thank smartceo
