Been going to Mt.Rose for years and love it! Lots of vertical, if your looking for black, check it out! Great for the experts and plenty of green and blue for the beginners or mid level. It's a great resort that has it all!

Four out of seven of us needed to rent snowshoes for a trek up on Chickadee Ridge, in the high meadow behind the summit, heading down into the Tahoe basin. The staff was very helpful and the price was reasonable ($15 each). Hard to believe...More

What a snow pack this year! Skiing in the morning and BBQ in the afternoon. Less than 30 minutes away from home. Two for Tuesdays is a great deal.

30 minute drive from downtown, you get a very nice view from there, would definitely come back for a day or two, a bit pricy.

Wonderful day on the mountain! Great internet deals for skiing on their website. Close and convenient to Reno. Very friendly staff. Best runs and ski trip for my family to date. Thank you!

We decided to take advantage of Thursday's "Ladies' Day" lift tickets, which at the time, were only $29. Nevermind that we had to battle a snowstorm to get there from Reno and put brand-new tire chains on for the first time in a white-out! My...More

This ski area is convenient to both Tahoe and Reno. It's located at high altitude and gets lots of snow. There is lots of varied terrain.

This hill enjoys great popularity with locals, and while offering some great ski runs doesn't have an atmosphere of pretension as do some of the "name" resorts in the Tahoe area. Rose is kid-friendly and their beginner training area is conveniently off to the side...More

Hello adventurer! It will take approximately 20-25 min. To get to Mt Rose from GSR. Another 10 to Chickadee Ridge. I would speculate there will still be snow in a month. We just got 5-6 inches in the higher elevations... More
Hi, Michael. What would you like to know about this attraction? What's the snow like right now? Is there much powder left on the intermediate runs?

We ski 3X/week at Mt. Rose and were just there yesterday. There is still SO much snow to ski! It's warm and we are in SUMMER skiing. Things get sticky and slushy by 11am and that's tough to push around. This weekend will be... More

Hi All, Planned to ski Mt. Rosa during 24th Dec time frame. Could any one of you let us know where could we find snow dresses in rental? I will be coming from Reno to Mt Rosa. So if some one knows in Reno, that is also fine.

Scheels in Sparks (next-to and east of Reno) is probably your best bet for snow clothes and ski equipment. You can also rent your ski equipment directly at the Mt Rose ski lodge.
