We visited as part of a bus tour, got the royal welcome. golf cart rides were offered to those who couldn't face the hilly terrain. I was one. It is a geat survival service they provide, but it is not as exciting as a good zoo. Some areas seemed without animals as they were napping and hiding. Tour guides--all volunteers--are... More

It was interesting to see all of the different animals here - they had a couple of new tiger cubs that were just settling in. Also saw bears, mountain lions, cheetahs, wolves, a couple kinds of foxes, and lots of birds, among others. Many of the animals were sleeping - not surprising during the day - but we were surprised... More

The animals all seem well cared for, all nice & clean etc & the good thing about this place is that if they can rehabilitate & release the animals back into the wild they do so.

It has been a couple of years since visiting but we have been twice. Try to go early before it gets too hot and the animals all take a nap. We especially love seeing the big cats.

Enjoyed a beautiful visit at Animal Ark with my 2 year old daughter. The animals and enclosures appear very well maintained and kept up regularly.

This was such a great stop. Many of the animals we saw were up and active (and absolutely adorable). The staff was very informative and friendly. They told us about the animals, answered any questions, and gave advice on where to look in order to see the animals. We will visit again!

Saw this on trip advisor and thought why not? Better than another day at the casino. It is quite a drive but worth it and for a good cause. Several of these animals came from private owners that couldn't care for a wild animal. When will people learn? The bears were pretty entertaining having just woke from their Winter slumber.... We're locals and didn't know about this until I was killing time looking up things to do on TripAdvisor. We heartily concur with all the other reviews -- it's a bit of a drive but totally worth it. The animals are mostly rescues and the staff is friendly, helpful and unassuming. The walk around to see the animals is fun... More

This is a local treasure, taking animals that should be wild, but have somehow had the course of their natural lives altered. You can get very close to beautiful animals in healthy habitat recreations.

It is out in the boonies but definitely worth the drive. This accredited wildlife sanctuary is beautifully laid out and great care is provided for their charges. The staff and volunteers know their stuff and are very informative and interactive. It is unfortunate that so many people get exotic or wild animals for pets and then can't care for them... More
