What a neat place to walk! The river runs through downtown and it's very picturesque from beginning to end. There are a number of homeless folks wandering around which might make parents of small children concerned but nobody bothered us.

While attending a Reno 1868 FC game, my son and I did the River Walk to get from my office to the stadium. I have to say I was amazed at how beautiful it was to make the walk. Perfect for strolling and enjoying the...More

We walked all along this area on both sides of the river. There are lots of bridges where you can cross over to the other side. Kayaks and families playing in the river, a wedding going on on the island, lots of small venues for...More

The river was full and flowing well; the atmosphere around it was not very welcoming due to the people camping out at the park, but the river made me feel peaceful.

Such an enjoyable and relaxing walk. Will do this walk in all seasons. People watching and bird watching always so fun to see. Wish there were more outdoor restaurants and coffee shops along the way.

The Truckee River Walk is a fantastic stroll through downtown Reno. It is scenic and there are lots of restaurants nearby. It was especially exciting since there was a lot of water due to high rainfall the previous winter.

The Truckee River is a beautiful feature of downtown Reno. There are good restaurants and a movie theater but just walking along the river is a great experience.

The artwork is beautiful, and the riverwalk was full of amazing sights, music and the smell of food from many wonderful restaurants. The water area for children is well thoughtout.

Although I didn't see any public restrooms, the restaurants along the river had no problem allowing people that needed to use their restrooms.

I also stayed at the El Dorado. It is about 4 blocks to the Truckee River Walk. It is a paved, level trail, head up river to get to Idlewilde park where you will find the Nevada State Law Enforcement Memorial and the Reno... More
