We went to see Matilda last night. The show was ok but for $116 a seat (or any price) sitting on what were essentially bar stools was unbelievably uncomfortable and wrongly thought out. Those of us in other parts of the box did not fare much better. The seats were miserably uncomfortable with the cushioning of the seats lacking substance.... More

If you can get to see a show at the smith center on your trip, you will not disappointed. There is a big theater for Broadway shows, concerts, philharmonic, etc. and a more intimate theater for individual performances. The theaters are only 5 years old, the acoustics in both are great as is the seating. You get a beautiful view... More

I have reviewed Reynolds Hall performances in earlier posts, but I want to add a word about the Cabaret Jazz venue next door. This is a much more intimate setting, with lots of locals performing for a much small crowd, up close and personal. It has a club-like atmosphere with table service of drinks and light meals. Wonderful! We've seen... More

Went to see a performance of "The Little Prince". It was a puppet and live production. It was a very creative performance of the classic and beloved story. It's good for adults and children. [We were all adults]. The theatre is comparable to the Koch Theatre in NYC's Lincoln Center. There's free Parking. Tickets were just $19 each!

Having been in professional theater and having been to countless theaters throughout the US, Canada and Europe, I can honestly say that the smith center is the nicest venue I've been to west of the Mississippi. HOWEVER, the caliber of shows they have been bringing in seems to have declined somewhat in the past two years. From Les Miserables, Wicked... More

Went to see Finding Neverland and it was amazing! I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house so don't worry about that! The Smith Center also has a full bar so you can get drinks ahead of time. Easy parking only $5.00 and there is also a free lot that is a little bit of a walk... More

The Smith Center is a real jewel. What a fabulous theater. Relatively new, built like turn of the century opera house and Art Deco inspired, this is definitely one of the nicest modern theater I have been. The acoustics is fabulous. If they feature a show you want to see, go without hesitation! Really an amazing theater!

The Smith Center is an excellent venue but the Cabaret Jazz Theater is outstanding. An intimate feel, great acoustics, and not a bad seat in the house. We saw a local group, Lon Bronson who we already loved but felt so close to them because we sat so close to them. Do not pass up a chance to see something... More
