From humble beginnings in small UNLV college clubs to late night T.V., Purple Reign has risen to international acclaim and recognition as the world’s #1 Prince Tribute. On November 17, 2008 the group became the 1st ever tribute/impersonator act to appear as the musical guest on Late Show with David Letterman. That show was chosen by CBS and Late Show to ring in the New Year and re-aired January 1st, 2009 at 12:15am (New Years Eve) less than 45 days later, making it the 1st musical performance of 2009 on Letterman. ‘09 also saw Purple Reign crowned "Best Tribute Act" by the 28th annual Las Vegas Review Journal Poll, winning 2 awards by both the staff and readers. Purple Reign captures the imagination and seamlessly re-creates the blistering performances and raw energy of Prince in his prime and returns you to the era that made "The Artist" an international superstar. Featuring a tribute Morris Day and The Time, this show is a must see for Purple Rain movie fans and all live music fans alike!

BETTER THAN GOING TO A NIGHT CLUB. BETTER THAN A LOUNGE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ignore anything under a five star rating for this venue and show. The impersonator is spot on and dances better in high heels than I do. He REALLY PLAYS and the band...More

This show was great I enjoyed every minute. The performance was very good and they represented their characters well. I would most definitely suggest this show.

If you think of Prince as being a comedian, reciting the who’s on first gag and as a character from dumb and dumber; then this is your show. If you recall Prince for his poor choice of band members, singing through his nose and making...More

If you like Prince and his music, you will enjoy the show. The musicians were great and played all the songs well. We were even treated to Morris Day and Jerome!

I was torn by this show. There is some good talent and the start of something really good. The main reason I gave it a low score was the the dancer just did not fit. I am not saying they where not good. They just...More

Prepare to be entertained! Purple Reign, the Prince Tribute Show, recently relocated to the Tropicana (free parking!), and my friend and I were lucky enough to be able to attend opening night. Aside from some opening night oopsies, we had a great time! Jason Tenner,...More

I had the privilege and pleasure of seeing prince perform 12 times and the highest praise I can give is that if I closed my eyes and listened to Jason Tanner play the purple rain guitar solo, it is like listening to the real Prince....More

What started out as something fun turned into shock, disbelief and eventual disgust. Regarding the musical talent, we get it, it’s not the real Prince, but the artists on stage were all talented and the costumes were great. As the show progressed the female dancers’...More

Jay was coming off a 2 1/2 week break and his timing was off and his heart wasn’t quite into it. I hate it when performers criticize the audience for its lack of energy and expect the audience to sing parts of the song. We...More

I have always loved Prince and never got to see him in person. I felt like I was watching someone as close to seeing Prince as I could get. Watching Jason Tenner was like I was watching Prince himself. I even cried when he sang...More

Little Red Corvette, Raspberry Beret, only song was Purple Rain off the album. This is merely a tribute to Prince and his contributions to The Time, Vanity 6. & Appolonia 6. Songs from all these groups were performed.
