My Daughter and I moved here last September. In only 40 minutes we can be at Lee Canyon Ski resort, were there is Skiing, Snow Boarding and Tubing. The scenery is worth the drive in any season. Even if you are just coming to Las Vegas for a short trip, it is worth getting away from the Hotels to see... More

Decided to go to Lee Canyon for a little ski adventure during New Year 2017. Who knew there was skiing 1 hr from the strip. So easy to get to. Literally 1 turn then up the mountain and your there and what a beautiful ride. They rent everything you would need. Including jackets and pants. Very reasonably priced. Get there... More

A few of us headed up from Vegas- less than hour trip to the final destination. You start really seeing snow- about 20 mins into the drive. Several places to stop and just play in the snow. They have camping sites for the non-snow months. The Ski area- is great- typical ski- equipment with lifts. Tubing and snowboarding available. Area... More

It's nice to be able to go up and play in the snow, but they've made it extremely difficult. There is no parking anywhere. Would it be so difficult to build some parking up there? People try to park along the side of the road, but if you're not completely out of the way you'll get a ticket real quick.... More

We drove to Lee Canyon on Christmas day from the Strip for a day of skiing. It is roughly about an hour north. We got lucky, because they received like 18 inches of snow in the days prior. My husband had never seen snow let alone skied, but I had spent quite a bit of time skiing growing up. The... More

Lee Canyon is about an hour north of The Strip and reached by taking US-95 north for about 35 miles and exiting onto Hwy-156, Lee Canyon Road which passes through an area of high desert, with large stands of Joshua Trees, then follows Lee Canyon, with mountains on both side, past picnic areas, trailheads and a campground, and terminates on... We took about an hour drive outside of Las Vegas to Lee Canyon. The temperature dropped from 92 to 57 within the hour. We could see snow on the mountain tops all the way up and when we reached the top we were able to walk on patches of snow and make some snow balls. A very nice change to... More

Really nice place to visit during a day in Las Vegas. It's about 50miles from the strip. You can go there for skiing or just to look the beautiful place. I went early March and there was still lot of snow.

I went with 5 friends for our first time skiing experience and it was great, the instructor was very patient, also the equipment rented was in perfect conditions.

Lee Canyon is only a 1 hour drive from the Strip along US 95 for about 30 minutes then follow the signs by turning left into Lee Canyon (this is about 10 to 12 miles past the turnoff for Mount Charleston). OK, it's not a huge ski area, but if your visiting Vegas and can ski and its between Oct... More
