    Nice to visit
So it was nice to see some of the older casinos and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, but the area reeks of marijuana. That was a major turn off and made us leave pretty quickly. We will try again but maybe earlier in the day versus around 3 p.m.

    Nice to do.
Good fun to go downtown. Exceptional noise levels in Fremont street. Great fun looking at people. Rest of downtown nice to walk through. Of course looking at the well known shop. Bit of a walk from Fremont, but doable.

Louder and Grittier than The Strip but Offering an Entertaining Experience
Downtown Las Vegas is very different from the glamour and sophistication of The Strip. It is a grittier experience. It can be loud and filled with a younger crowd and you will encounter some interesting characters, but it makes for a fun time and is worth experiencing when in Vegas. Much energy was brought back to Downtown when the Fremont Experience opened. The Fremont East District adjacent is also worth exploring. It is a more laid-back area with bars, restaurants, comedy clubs and music venues. However, Downtown Las Vegas is also considered by many the "real Vegas". More no non-sense than The Strip. Hotels are more affordable, drinks are less expensive and table minimums at the casinos are less than The Strip.

If you are a fan of a college spring break scene this is for you. It is loud, loud, loud. There is really nothing to eat here except fast food or in the casinos - very few decent restaurants. The street performers were quite lame as well. Only thing of interest was the large screen overhead.

The preparation for the Formula One has ruined the downtown experience. Roads are blocked, Traffic is horrible, bleachers, high end, booths for the Richie, rich to watch the race are block views from hotels, water fountains, etc. Some elevators and escalators are not working, which make it more difficult for individuals with walking issues. This is not a good thing for tourists to visit from October through November. This will continue for the next 10 years during the month of October and November. You will not get your moneys worth downtown during this time.

Felt unsafe. Drug dealings going on at hotel entrance and inside the motel. Hallway was filthy. Our room and bathroom smelled gross. Should be rated a 1 star.

Booked this trip through Expedia to get discounted rate. Using the hotel just as a place to sleep as we headed off to Zion etc.
Comfortable queen beds mattress a titch soft- replacement soon? No microwave, fridge however. Would of been handy for family snacks and liquids when it is 120 degrees outside. Pool was very nice, however limited hours due to
Parties sponsored every night. We liked the fact you could order food at the pool area. The hotel gives 2 free complimentary breakfasts per day. Great staff at the breakfast bar but with all the people they serve they didn't seem to keep up with ordering. Out of knives, cereal and bagel
choices. The staff however was very nice and very efficient. Maybe a few more chairs in the breakfast area so all could sit at the long banquet table provided. 20-30 minutes to the strip. Lots of traffic. Security made themselves known making us feel safe. The staff was incredible in every area. Cleaning, more towels, smiles, greeting us with "Good Morning." Would definetly book again.

Downtown is a dump. What was old Vegas, is a cheap carnival. Binons one of the first, is filthy sad place. Main Street station, is a crowded classless casino. Cal is remodeled but they forgot the smoke filters. Pass on here and go to Mesquite
