On our way to Vegas. we stopped and checked this out. Well worth it. We didn't pay for the parking. Just go to the top and there is free parking and you can get great pictures.

A very interesting stop on our way to the Grand Canyon West rim. Had studied about it in school and read several articles on it. HAPPY to go and finally be able to visit

Went last year on a bus tour to the damn. I was so excited as this has been on my bucket list for a long time. It surely did not disappoint. Wish I had a longer time to walk to Arizona.

Took a drive out to the Hoover Dam from Las Vegas and it was interesting but I wouldn't race back. Lake Mead was also interesting but not a lot more to say really.

An amazing feat of engineering and an enjoyable quick stop for a photo op on your way to the Grand Canyon. The dam is absolutely huge - hard to imagine that, and the bridge, being built when they were.

We had to park across the dam and up the hill. The tour we took was rather short but the dam is spectacular. I was there in the 90's before all of these other structures were built and what a change it is. It is...More

It was a very quick visit but it was good. A very calmed place you can enjoy beautiful views from the river and the highway you can make cool pictures.

Stayed on the strip in Las Vegas with a group of friends and took the Hoover Dam tour during our stay, which was more than worth the time and cost. I suggest reading up a little bit beforehand too familiarize yourself with the history and...More

By paying just the visitor fee without the tour, will I be able to have access to go on the bypass bridge? Also what areas will I be allowed to go in?

I can't imagine that you can fully appreciate the magnitude of this dam without taking the tour and going down into the belly of this beast. Yes the outside areas are incredible but even more so is what's underground and... More

I highly advise you rent or bring a mobility scooter especially if you are also visiting the Las Vegas area as it will be way too much walking for you. One block or two can talk a healthy person a half hour to an hour as the... More
