Play where Tiger Woods won his first tournament, and the "RAT PACK" played and entertained. When you play golf at Las Vegas National Golf Club, you will forget you are in the desert. This exquisite championship golf course, conveniently located only 5 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, is the former host of the PGA Tour’s Tournament of Champions, Sahara Invitational and the Las Vegas Invitational. Classic in design, this course combines rolling fairways, glistening lakes and greens well protected by palm, pine and olive trees. Just after completion in 1961, The National, then called the Stardust Country Club, hosted its first professional golf event, the LPGA Championship. From that date forward history was made. The layout, designed by Bert Stamps, is traditional and is a challenge for the best of players. The National has become a landmark over the last 50 years. It was host to the movie “Casino”, starring Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci. Use a Cart, GolfBoard, or Scooter.

The golf club is very close to all the hotels on the strip. The fairway is surrounded by houses; some old and some relatively new. The fairways and green are well maintained, however, the pigeons are a problem. My group hit two of them during...More

We checked in for our 1200pm tee time. After the 7th hole, three slow golfers took us until 3:20pm to reach the 12th hole. We even told the golf ranger about the very slow pace. The ranger did nothing about the issue. The ranger claims...More

We enjoyed the layout of the course as well as the length. Only mistake was we played shortly after they over seed. We paid $79 for 18 holes and cart. I don't think it was worth that based on the current conditions. Just don't pay...More

Dear September, Thank you for taking the time to comment on Las Vegas National. I apologize for our slow greens, as we did not mow them until the 2nd day to give them some more protection. I hope our clerk at check in informed you...More

Las Vegas National was my first golf experience in the Las Vegas area. After doing a lot of research, I decided on this course because it was reasonably priced, challenging from the back tees and was not going through overseeding yet. Pace of play was...More

A truly great place for a visitor to play a fun round of golf. A show place of golf history on display in the club house including Tiger's first win. A staff that is more than just helpful but will make a person feel like...More

We almost didn't play here because of some of the negative reviews. When we arrived, we were greeted by the Marshall and directed into the Pro Shop. All seemed good. The negative comments we had read were about the litter in the creeks and the...More

While this course is close to the strip and has an interesting history, it was very disappointing. The creek that ran through the course was very littered with beer cans, clothing and plastic containers. There was a homeless encampment next to one of the tee...More

Two stars because the club house is nice. Decent food, comfy chairs. Golf course is terrible. Rock hard greens grass scarce in fairway. Terrible neighborhood. Traps were full of weeds. Not worth your time or $ to play

Originally called the Stardust CC when opened in 1961, you have to play this at least once if you want to really appreciate Vegas's early history. You can honestly feel the ghosts of Vegas past as on many holes there are historic markers letting you...More
