Absolutely love Fremont. I wish Vegas was more like Fremont and less like the Strip. It’s a bit 18+ but I love all the street performers and the live music.

This was my favorite place to visit in Vegas! So much going on and such a completely different vibe from the strip. The lightshow is very cool to watch. The street performers are very entertaining. The table games are much cheaper to play down here. And the live performances are incredible (specifically the band Alter Ego)! You won't find a better place to people-watch.

Will see interesting sights. Music show with lights, live bands, interesting people who impersonate famous people and stores with affordable souvenirs

This is not a place for everyone. Anything seems to go on Fremont Street, but we had a good time experiencing it. We are glad we went just for the entertainment of watching the "circle" acts as well as the music. We felt safe. We do not think it is a place for kids as there are no boundaries of what you will see and smell.

Interesting to see old Vegas, interesting people watching, be careful the later it gets, a fight/shooting while we were there, 2am. Inside the casinos is better, they keep a better eye out. Circa is very nice, parking $$$ but safe.

I wish we hadn’t even gone down to Fremont Street. It was dirty, smelly, and full of sketchy vendors trying to sell you things. It was an awful experience and didn’t feel historic. It felt touristy and unsafe.

Like other things in Las Vegas, it is spectacular but best suited to particular personalities. Definitely worth going just to see the displays on the roof. Parking is plentiful. We did not stay for the musical presentations and did not ride the zip lines, although they looked like fun.

Since my last visit 20 years ago most of the nostalgic casinos have been replaced by walk up bars but not bars you can go into - literally long bars with bartenders behind them. Naaa. We should've passed on this.
Now for the street "entertainers":
There was one group of "dancers" who would pick a goofy tourist out of the crowd and dance with him for a minute. Then they would hold an "auction" to see who would tip the most. I can't believe people were actually falling for this. Maybe 100 people crowded around there. You can see a decent show in Vegas for $50-$100 why would you give it to those guys? YEAH - some fools gave that much.
There were also mostly nude or nude with body paint obese women trying to charge for pictures with them. I don't think they were trying to be funny.
A positive is that there are black circles painted on the ground that are "solicit" zones. They didn't seem to get outside of those circles.
There was a good 80's band there.
The casino mins weren't much different than than the strip. We were there on a Friday night. We stayed for about 45 mins then left.

My daughter enjoyed the zipline. The outside bars attached to the hotels were nice. They kept the temperature cool with the misters and covering. There were some out of control homeless people because of mental illness etc. which can be disconcerting for a tourist but the police on bikes patrolled the area well.

It was ok, maybe it's because I went during the day. I expected more things to do, since everyone kept telling me to go. It's a nice historic side, but I literally just spent an hour there and then left.

Every day is available to children but the first weekend of the month! They call it first Friday or something at that time only people over the age of 21 are allowed on Fremont passed a certain time but this ends on Sunday morning and children are allowed back on to the Street area then!
What that last time for the light show

Going to Vegas Monday 5/3 - Wednesday 5/5. Looking to go to Fremont Light Show Monday and grab dinner afterwards. Anyone know what crowd / traffic has been like?

Once you get there you should be good. The only problem is getting there. Uber and Lyft are very busy between the hours of 6pm-3a.

Fewer visitors and less congestion during the day.
More artisans/performers, live music and high energy at night.
What attractions can I see and do when visiting in February? I dont want to disappoint my self

A lot of free things to see in Vegas: Welcome to Las Vegas sign on Las Vegas Blvd, Welder Up, Pawn Stars, Kounts Kustoms, fountains at Bellagio and the Conservatory at Bellagio!!!

Not exactly on Freemont Street itself but here are a couple ideas within easy walking distance:
7th and Carson
Carson's Kitchen
Flock and Fowl
Nacho Daddy
Pizza Rock
Vegenation (all plant based foods. Good for vegetarians and vegans)
Donut Bar (get there early for best selection)
I tried to give you a variety since I don't know your price point nor what type of cuisine you're after.

Hi, going to be in Vegas in September, what is Freemont like on a Sunday afternoon is there much going on or is it far better at nighttime ?

Dont bother during the day. The entire showcase and infrastructure was literally designed for a night time experience.

Visiting Vegas first week in September. Does anyone know if the light show is affected by the current upgrade going on? ie are there panels on roof not working during light show?

I was there two weeks ago and it was up and running, didn’t notice any malfunctioning panels.

Hi!
I really want to do either the zipline or zoomline but I am really scared. AT any point does it feel like you are falling with either ride? Im not scared of heights but I hate that roller coaster feeling in my stomach when it comes to gravity rides. Your help would be appreciated.

My Wife and I did the Zipline on the Strip and it was the most fun time we had in Vegas, except for meeting the guys from Tanked.
