This is a great place to go horseback riding. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have something for all ages, just be sure to call and make reservations because they do book up at least a day ahead. I would go back without hesitation and would recommended to all. My daughter had never ridden a horse before and... More

Went on the 2 hour extended trail ride and were fortunate enough to be the only ones in our group. We were greeted with genuine kindness and professionalism. The horses were all healthy, well taken care of and our mounts were selected thoughtfully as well. We are a riding family, so the guide allowed us to trot at times, our... More

Great opportunit to get in the saddle and feel the fresh air in your face and experience the Great Outdoors with senic views and feel for the old west. So turn back the clock and go back in time of the Cowboys.

They cater for the punters, and the 50 minutes ride ( + 10 for photos) is a bit average. Horses walk nose to to tail so it's boring for those that have ridden before. A longer Ride might take you off the rocky "pony ride trail". Ride doesn't go past the walk, I guess this is safety thing as the... More

We've been riding horses at the Camp Richardson stables every summer for the past 15 years. They have a friendly, capable staff and the trail horses are solid. Bring a camera with you and your guide will take a few pictures of your group with brilliant, blue lake in the background at the overlook on the trial. The trail can... More

This place has the best value in lake tahoe. The cabin is next to the beach where we spend many memorable nights under the stars. The staff is wonderful the treat us like family . Our horse ride was full of moments of fun and exciting scenery. The price for what you get is fantastic.

We had a great time on our 2 hour extended ride at Camp Richardson Stables. We took Michael's advice (he takes reservations) and got up early for the 8 am ride; the weather was perfect, and the trail wasn't too dusty. We rode through trees with plenty of shade to Fallen Leaf Lake, where our guide, Lonnie, took pictures of... More

Very friendly staff, the cabins are quaintly situated near the lake! Inside amenities are modern, clean, nicely decorated. The roads are well maintained for easy access around the snow! The cabins contains refrigerator brand new stoves, shelves dishes, and comfy beds and modern plumbing! Perfect for a family reunion!

It would be hard to find a better value in Tahoe. The campgrounds are spacious and offer some degree of privacy. Overall, I would consider the sites to be even better than many KOA's I have seen at a lot less money. Camp Rich is also a very short walk to the lake or a brief drive to downtown and... More
