    Cool stop
There's not much to it, but it was cool getting off the strip and getting out here to see the installation, among a few other things in the neighboring areas. There are a good number of people out here taking pictures for their social media, so just be aware it's likely going to draw a crowd. There was a taco truck as a food option.

    Awesome!
Great photo experience!!! Kids love to the colors of the towering rocks. Bring cold water during summer. Clean though! It’s only maybe 27 miles from the strip. Awesome art!!!

Road Trip 2023 Seven Magic Mountains
This was a planned stop on our 4000 mile road trip. We had previously driven from LA to LV and saw the Seven Magic Mountains but never could figure out what they were called or how to get there so when we finally figured it out, it was a MUST SEE on our next trip. It's a neat thing to see. Not much to do besides look and take pics but not sure what else you would expect other than that anyways. This is not something we would do every time we're in the area but it's definitely a go to if you've never been.

If you are into social media and cool pics...
If you are into social media and cool pics, Seven Magic Mountains is definitely a nice photo opportunity, if you have neither of these interests in mind, then you better skip the visit. All in all, the place is just what you see in the countless pictures posted on social media, no more and no less than a bunch of colorful, stacked rocks. Whether this is art or not, is up to each visitor; with not the slightest takeaway, for me was not. Key points to consider is you plan on visiting: Parking is free and about 1,000ft/300m from the installation, with gravel from beginning to end; wear comfortable shoes, and if you’re on a wheelchair bear in mind the effort to reach the rocks will be great, probably better attend accompanied by someone abled to assist. There’s no doubt the best time for visiting is right at dawn: most likely you’ll have the place for yourself; the light is perfect for pictures; weather will be fresher (maybe even cold, so bring a light jacket); and when put together, the desert, the installation, and the sunrise, add for a magnificent view. Though only about 30 minutes from the strip, be sure to make travel arrangements beforehand, do not count on hailing a cab or calling an Uber at the spot because that just won’t do. BYO car, attend with a tour, or arrange for the Uber/taxi to wait. Overall, the visit should not take longer than 30 minutes. As stated before, there’s nothing else but the rocks. No plaque to read, no visitor center, no info of any kind, and no place for buying coffee, water, or food in miles around –so better bring whatever provisions you might need. No toilet also!!!

    Colorful Artistic Sculptures…
This has become a place to visit…not much there so I really wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. However, it’s not a waste of time…you’ll spend about 20 minutes there and we were able to take shots without people in the shots just by moving around and looking for a good angle. It’s very nice and artistic…good thing is that it’s only about 25 minutes south of Vegas. Free parking and no cost to access.

    Colorful stone art work
On our way back to California , we decided to make a stopover to this place. It was worthy and FREE. It’s a little walking distance not back. Just be careful a lot of rocks. The colorful stone arts were pleasing to the eyes. I am mesmerized knowing Asan art stone in the middle of the desert . Gives me the illusion of dry land and an oasis in the center. Advice make a stop and treasure the moment

    Free Fun for Everyone!
The Seven Magic Mountains are an art exhibit in the middle of the desert! Only 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas! This attraction is free, has no time limits, is open all day AND there is ample parking! Plus there are no stairs or hills, it's all on flat ground and it's a small venue, making it very accessible for anyone who wants to visit. I would highly recommend it! You can see more of what it's like at this place in a video I made called "A budget friendly sober weekend in Las Vegas" on YT channel "Deanna Troy Travels"

    Nice visit
This place isn't far from the Strip, and it has a big free parking lot. If you want photos with no one in them, you need to come first thing in the morning; otherwise, there are a lot of visitors. This is a nice spot to spend a little time away from the busyness of Vegas.

A simple idea, glorious in it's final form
Having looked at things to visit on our road trip, this popped up on the outskirts of Las Vegas and after reading multiple reviews, I thought, why not have a look! First off, if you approach from the south, you come off at Jean and you run parallel to the 15 for 5 miles to the location. It's free parking and free entry, where there are two information boards all about the art installation. There were people coming and going all the time we were there but I did manage to get the fabled photo with no-one in shot! To me it's a simple idea that looks brilliant in the flesh but of course, someone has to come up with the simple idea first. We wandered around the site, enjoying the bright colours, which changed as the sun hid behind clouds. The shadows cast were interesting and I can only imagine what they looked like at different times of the day. We were there for about half an hour enjoying the look and feel of the rocks before we left. The only tiny downside was the dog excrement left behind by some peoples pets but that was a minor gripe for an adult. Toddlers beware though! Would I go again, if I was traveling to Vegas again? I would definitely stop off again, to see how it looks at a different time of day!

Plus Size Friendly - if you take Uber, ask your driver to wait for you if possible
As a fat traveler, and one without a car while in town, I was anxious about a few things for this attraction - how hard and long was the walk from the parking lot to the stones and if I got an Uber there, could I get one back since it’s in the middle of the dessert. The walk is so so easy, gravel path, probably less than 500 feet from the parking lot. And with the Uber, we ended up asking our driver to stay for thirty minutes and we gave him extra extra tip for this because we weren’t sure how easy it would be to get an Uber back since these stones seem to be in the middle of nowhere. Our driver didn’t speak English but we just used Google translate and he was wonderful and waited. If you are looking for Instagram spots, this is one that I think is worth it to get there but the Uber was not cheap - about 35-45 each way without tips so if you think ahead it may be better to get a rental car.

I went to the Seven Magic Mountains, this was one of our stops on the way to Las Vegas, after around 3 hours of me riding in the car and my mom and dad taking turns driving. I thought this was interesting, rocks stacked up and painted in colors. It is is a nice place to take a picture and explore, a lot of people go there, even some people try to make their own rocks, its a nice place to explore. There isn't really any bad sides of the Seven Magic Mountains. It is really nice.

I came across these while I was planning our road trip through Utah and Arizona and we were flying in and out of Vegas. You feel like it takes forever to get there, but these are just so cool up close!

They are massive! So colorful!

There will be SO MANY PEOPLE!!! But, the good news it, you can use the rocks to your advantage and we had no problem getting photos with no one else in them!

If you have time, stop out and see them, you'll most likely never see anything like this!

Was nice to not be on Interstate 15 to LA for a bit after getting out of Sin City. Also a chance to see something a little different. it is not spirtual or anyting WOW just quirky and worth a stop. Once done you are then not far to Terribles Road House in Jean. Huge services with a White Castle and any other supplies you need before heading west. Also there is a fake Welcome to Las Vegas sign that has no queue so a good spot for a snap if you missed the real one.

The art installation is very unique in the desert. It was supposed to be a temporary art installation south of Las Vegas.

I'll admit, it was instagram / tiktok that made me come and visit this place. I personally did not find anything special about these colorful rocks, it's just that, colorful rocks lol.... NEXT!

Great break from the strip. We enjoyed seeing the “mountains” and the cactus too! Plenty of parking and no soliciting was nice change from the strip.
