We used to play this course when we visited the Tahoe area, now we live in the community surrounding the course. It is an Arnold Palmer designed course and hosts one of the PGA Web.com qualifying tournaments each year. Therefore, they keep it in great shape. It has a lot of water throughout the course, so it is a challenging... More

I had played Dayton Valley before, and I knew I would be back. The course is in emaculate condition, even though temperatures have been above 100*. The staff is fantastic as soon as you walk in the Pro Shop. The starter was friendly and helpful. Because it was so hot, the staff brought out ice and water onto the course... More

Played 9, and husband played 18 twice this week. Beautiful course, challenging water and bunker holes. Gorgeous mountainous vistas. Clubhouse has nice pro shop, helpful staff and great food in the bar/restaurant.

First some background information on me so that you can have that understanding when you read the review: 60-year old female with handicap index of 23.3 A golfing friend told me of this course when I was planning a golfing trip to Reno, Nevada. She said that I should definitely drive the extra few miles to the Carson City area... More

Great community as well as golf course. Last weekend was a chili cook off, this weekend was the valentine dinner. They hold Friday night appetizers as well. Besides the golf there is always something going on. The landscape is beautiful too!

If you're in the area, you need to make sure to play this course. We played in October and the course was in great shape. The greens were fast and true and the fairways tight. We played on a Sunday for $40, which included cart. Unbelievable. It's a Palmer course, too. If you're a golfer who's planning a Reno/Carson City... More

We have wanted to play here for a while but hadn't had the opportunity until this trip. About 15 minutes off the main highway 395. Our tee time was 12:20 and we managed to get in 12 holes by 2:00 or so before the wind, lightning and thunder started. It's a great layout...interesting holes and water comes into play several... It's a beautiful course to golf (with mountain scenes and wild horses running across the backdrop). Also, it can be a great place to eat, except the locals never know when they are serving food, due to lack of posted information (near gates would be nice). It's always enjoyable to stop by for a drink and appetizer during the afternoon.... More

The design is interesting but!!!!! The greens are rock hard and lightening fast. I had a difficult time finding any ball marks on the greens due to the hard surface. Unless you are a pro with great back spin skills, it's difficult to keep the ball on a green after a good approach shot. The designer was especially generous with... More

The layout was uninteresting and not particularly well kept. The tee boxes were rough. The GPS system provided was off by 10 yards or more. Be warned, strong winds develop every day at noon.
