This is a park close to our home and it always gets the kids excited to go. They even go with their school all the time and don't tire from it. Although it's just a small park, there are trails that can be taken in and out of the park. Plus, there are several four wheeler trails just outside the... More

This is a beautiful little area, but there just isn't much here. It took us a bout 1 hour to see the entire park, including the little hike in the back. Really pretty, but it it just a small park.

What an amazing surprize it was to see the abundance of natural water located in this gorgeous park. If you've been on the road for awihle and in the middle of nowhere, the place will amaze you and provide you with the rest and relaxation that you crave. You really DO want to camp here, because there are no other... More

If you are in the area this is a MUST see! Great for the entire family. Camp grounds, horseshoes, sand volleyball, hiking, swimming for the little ones, you can grill your own food and enjoy the peaceful area, This is a gem in the middle of rural Nevada and I would not miss it!

This is a beautiful, lush little state park, that is a hidden gem. It would be a great place for a family reunion. It has a small pool and several covered pavilions with picnic tables and BBQ grills. There is a volleyball area and several horse shoe pits. The bathrooms are well maintained and clean.

Kershaw Ryan State Park is a real jewel in the rough, considering there are very few options for camping in the area around Caliente, NV. The smallish campground is well laid out and with 16 individual campsites designed to accommodate just about any vehicle/trailer/tent camper. Up into the canyon, there are additional recreational facilities with a wading/swimming pond, volleyball court,... More

While camping at Cathedral Gorge State Park up the road in Panaca, NV we ventured out to check out the other Nevada State Parks in the area. It was a boiling hot day and Kershaw-Ryan State Park was a welcomed find. The park is situated in a colorful, narrow slot canyon about 2 miles outside Caliente, NV. The steep canyon... More

Located at the entrance to Rainbow Canyon in Caliente, this jewel is a surprise treat. The park is beautiful and beautifully maintained. The flowers are varied and beautiful. The grass is lush. There is a wading pool and even a children's playground. The park staff obviously take a lot of pride and care in what they do! It's really a... More
