Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I simply stayed in Sidney overnight as a place to rest between Panorama Point and Scott's Bluff NM. When I arose the next day, I saw this display near our Hampton Inn. It was a very nice monument to recognize the Pony Express and the states it passed through. It was really informative as I did not know exactly the route and places it served. All 8 states along the route were represented as well as the iconic statue of the rider. I was really looking or excepting anything like this in Sidney. However, it was close to my hotel and I was glad I took the time to visit it.

Though it only lasted eighteen months, the Pony Express remains large in Western lore and the expansion of the U.S.
Taking a cue from the brevity of the exercise, the Memorial is compact, but a lot is going on. There's a beautiful main statue of a horse and rider, flags from all the states on the route, benches, and plaques of each stop.
Situated in front of the flagship Cabels's store, it's a nice opportunity to contemplate for a minute, take some cool pictures, then hop back in the car and head back to the I-80. Glad I stopped.

The monument, the information plaques, the flags representing the different states in which there are Pony Express stations, and landscaping all fit well together. It is located off I-80 at exit 59, in front of the Cabelas store. Plenty of free parking. Definitely worth stopping to pay homage to the 18-month Pony Express.

We enjoyed stopping here to see the pony express monument on the way home from our recent trip to Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks. It was a quick stop, take pictures and on our way. There's a Cabela's closeby and places to eat nearby.

We drove by this monument at the Cabelas headquarters. It was too cold and snowy to get out and explore but it was still worth a drive by.

This monument is a very nice statue. The whole effect is well done. The monument, the information plaques, the flags and landscaping all fit well together. It is located off I80 at exit 59, in front of the Cabelas store, near the County visitors center. It is a quick for a photo and a place to learn some history about an event that didn't last long.

If you're a western history buff, it's worth a quick stop to see this monument. It won't take long, just a nice stretch your legs kind of stop, but rewarding none the less.

The monument was something We wanted to see because we were close and it was there. It was just behind Cabellas first store. The landscaping was attractive and it was a photo op... would not have driven a long distance just to view it.... but was nice

This is a nice monument to anyone connected to the Pony Express. Amazing that a business that operated for about 18 months and lost money is so etched in the American consciousness. Well, I visit remains of Pony Express stations and the route itself whenever possible so could not stay away from this monument. Glad a Trip Advisor writer said it was in Cabelas parking lot, made it real easy to find.

Nice monument & pit-stop off I80 at Cabellas by the Flags. Kind of surreal to stretch legs, email & text, realizing back in the day they could never have imagined!
