A very surprising and pleasant stopover on our way back from Jasna ski resort to Kosice airport. Amazing hot natural sulphorous pools. All in a relatively small village.

After some time, being a regular visitor born in High Tatras, we again visited these thermal pools. Our experience is rather frustration, despite the excellent thermal water. People with cups of beer in the pools are bad sign, this lasts from last year. This time, in addition, in the ladies toilette only one out of three was working, but with no toilette tissue. In the wardrobe area, only few changing cabins are available (after re-shaping of the area some few years ago). People have often to queue in front of them. Such a nice relaxing place with excellent water, but the general quality of the service is further decreasing.

Vrbov Slovakia and the Thermal Park are a place you escape to. What I mean by that is, yes, it's a bit retro, and yes, it's a bit old-fashioned, but you feel like you are in a time capsule where you have nothing to worry about except what delicious Slovak snack you are going to chow down next. If you're looking for flashy fast and trendy, skip this town. But if you're looking to feel like you've come home, then you've found the right place.

The car parking, the main building and some of the pools are new, but the main part of the pools already remember something. The water is very warm in some pools, but everyone will choose it.

There are three different types of pool that you enter into once you have changed and showered. All three are outdoor. The first is warm and the water looks a normal colour. However, the other two pools are much bigger and warmer and with water that is a very off-putting rust colour - though this is just the mineral content.

When we visited the clientele were mostly late middle age - though that may just have been a reflection that it was a working day. There is outdoor seatign and also a cafe area inside. You can also book a separate Thai massage.

We have just bumped into this place and I feel very lucky to do so. Prices are friendly compared to other spas. When we were there, the place was not crowded, plenty sunbeds were available. There are quite a few pools with thermal water on different temperature, hot, warm, cool. There are some kiosks serving food and drinks. The water quality is amazing, don't be turned off by the rusty looking water, it is due to the exceptionally high mineral content. The changing room area is very clean and the staff was friendly, the lady at the ticketing spoke English very well. We had a relaxing couple of hours, and we will return for sure next year.

Great thermal spa. The water looks dodgy but there is nothing to worry about, on the contrary it has brilliant health effects. The outside thermal pools are really warm and that means you can relax and swim even if there is freezing outside. Snowboarding / Skiing in Tatra mountains over the day, hot spa at Thermal Park Vrbov in the evening, perfect winter holiday!

I have been going to Vrbov for more than 20 years and I still love it. The prices tripled since then, unfortunately. However the place got big renovations and a whole new thermal part, so that you can enjoy it fully in winter just as much as in summer. It is fairly demanding during hot summer days, but if it is a bit colder or even raining, you get to enjoy the hot water at the same time as colder weather, it is fun!
I love Vrbov and the only thing I would change is the price, on the other hand, as it is very popular, it is understandable.
