The house was unbelievable and the displays inside it A must to see and the size of it. But wait till you walk the grounds and see the other buildings and the barn.

The entrance price was reasonable. We were able to visit the whole house, the garden and the barn. This is where Buffalo Bill lived. We saw his guns. Buffalo Bill designed his own wallpaper. As it is hot in North Platte, the shades went down 50%....More

Very nice historical site. House is beautiful and barn is also very nice. Perfect place for photo opportunities and tons of Buffalo Bill history across from the rodeo.

The house was amazing for that time in history. You do the tour on your own so you can spend as much time as you want. The grounds are beautiful and well kept.

This is a nice place to learn the history of Buffalo Bill. There is lots of parking, and nicely kept grounds. You tour the house, barn, and out buildings.

In his day, Buffalo Bill Cody was an army scout, hunter of buffalo, pony express rider, rancher, and entertainer and producer of his Wild West show. When he retired from all of that, he built Scout’s Rest. My husband and I have stopped for the...More

Unfortunate, awkward 'greeting'... told that purchase of state 'ID' (for one-time visit), plus modest admission charge, is mandatory or 'can't park on property'; we opted to depart ;-(

Scout’s Rest is an impressive piece of land in the northwest corner of North Platte NE. Established by WF Cody himself, his family lived her a long time and there is so much of him still there. You can walk through his house and barn...More

Yes, you do. $6.00 a day for NE residents, $8.00 a day for non residents. Your National Park Pass is for National Parks, not state parks.

Evidently it is closed in the "off season" which may begin in October. It was closed 10/21/18 but I couldn't get to the website to check the schedule
