We drove out to the ranch from our RV site in North Platte, Nebraska. It was closed (May 10, 2018), which was unusual, because it was a Thursday. We walked around the grounds and looked in the windows of his house, and then observed the...More

We reviewed many places to visit in North Platte, including this one. Everything we read indicated times open. NOTHING was open! We even followed the instructions to go to the barn area, no one there. We, and another couple, were disappointed we couldn’t go see...More

The house was unbelievable and the displays inside it A must to see and the size of it. But wait till you walk the grounds and see the other buildings and the barn.

The house was amazing for that time in history. You do the tour on your own so you can spend as much time as you want. The grounds are beautiful and well kept.

This is a nice place to learn the history of Buffalo Bill. There is lots of parking, and nicely kept grounds. You tour the house, barn, and out buildings.

In his day, Buffalo Bill Cody was an army scout, hunter of buffalo, pony express rider, rancher, and entertainer and producer of his Wild West show. When he retired from all of that, he built Scout’s Rest. My husband and I have stopped for the...More

Unfortunate, awkward 'greeting'... told that purchase of state 'ID' (for one-time visit), plus modest admission charge, is mandatory or 'can't park on property'; we opted to depart ;-(

Yes, you do. $6.00 a day for NE residents, $8.00 a day for non residents. Your National Park Pass is for National Parks, not state parks.
