We arrived early before the Railroad Museum opened. That allowed us time to stretch our legs and give our 80 lb. traveling companion a chance to investigate a portion of the park. Besides the enormous steam and diesel engines, I really enjoyed walking through the baggage and mail cars.

What a fun park this one is! A rich history, beautiful grounds, a mini Zoo, and a carousel. What's better than that? From Memorial Day thru Labor Day the concession stand is open with awesome ice cream and food. A pavilion that sometimes has music. If you are passing through be sure to take a few and visit.

We enjoyed seeing the trains here and just enjoying this park. It's not a five star attraction but worth some time.

My niece works & lives close, she took us on a guided tour of the park, then we ate there. Wow, I would have spent a complete day at the park with no trouble, will return to take a leisurely tour of the Trains, the animal enclosures, the play grounds, the rivers edge, etc...

There was live music that was good, Locals were very friendly as shared stories about the area. The gift shop had many unique items.
