First thing we saw was a video about trees in the movies, made you think about how we need trees and important they are even as back drops or accents in our lives. Then there is a small exhibit inside, but the real fun is outside, walking the compound. There are things for kids and adults to do, tree trunk... More

The whole reason we came to Nebraska City was Arbor Day Farms. March is too dreary for a visit here. It was too chilly to take the trails and not much else to do.

Kids loved exploring this park. There are so many innovative playgrounds and sculptures, all made of wood. I love trees so was happy to see all the possibilities and uses of wood.

Even though we visited in February, with no leaves on the trees, the Tree Adventure was awesome. Paved and mulched paths lead through the forest. There are multiple carvings throughout the site and many, many trees were identified. There are two raised observation platforms, one being 50 ft high. A tour of the Arbor Nursery is included and at the... More

Went during February so obviously most things are brown except the evergreens. Nice walk around the park, up the tree overlook with plenty of learning experiences along the path. Was there during the fall last time was it was amazing. Site also provides free tree samplings to take home.

Our family tradition continued in 2016! We love taking our grandsons (and their parents) to Arbor Day Farm. Our grandsons, ages 7 and 5 love the Tree Adventure. This self-directed and self-paced adventure in a great connection with nature. Looking forward to next fall!

This place is amazing! I have had the good fortune to visit in all seasons, and the experience has been stellar every time. Explore the trails and take the time to look for sculptures and art installations hidden throughout the woods. Play in the Nature Explore Classroom, no matter your age. It will put a smile on your face! Wildlife... More

Definitely worth the time to stop! Go on the tours and trails and don't forget the store and gift shop, or you will miss something! They have great pies and stuff you remember as a child (the smell will fill your head with visions of grandmother's house when growing up)! They have a zillion worthwhile projects, besides the millions of... More
