Beautiful mosaic ceilings and floors, paintings and sculptures inside the 400-foot high capitol building are as impressive as its marble, bronze and gold leaf exterior and white tower topped by a bronze statue. Free guided tours are available.

My husband and I took our grandchildren, 10 & 13, from Idaho, to the capital. They loved it, we took the elevator to the top they walked all around looking out at the city. Never to old or too young to visit our state capital

You can see this capitol building for miles!! It has the most beautiful murals, paintings and architecture. Columns of marble brought from Italy. See the only unicameral in the United States. Make sure to tour the 14th floor, it is breathtaking.

Rated as the 8th wonder of the world on it's completion and there has been no decline since then. Almost as much a massive sculpture as an exquisite building, it's amazing!!
