The artistry in this building is second to none. Don't miss out on this just because its a government building.

OK, in the interest of full disclosure, I worked in this building for over 10 years. In fact, my earliest years there were spent working as a janitor while I was going to college, so I got to see not just the areas open to the public, but the very bowels of this monument, as well. My spirit lifted every... More

What beautiful art and architecture. The tour was about half an hour and was helpful in understanding the art work and other points of interest. A trip to the highest floor is highly recommended. I would recommend seeing this beautiful structure.

This is a must visit for all Nebraskans. You get an appreciation of the state's history, our unique one house unicameral system and the unique interesting architecture of the State Capital. The rotunda is beautiful as well as many of the other murals in the capital building. Enjoy!

This place is a mosaic-tiled wonderland! 100% Americana design dating back to the turn of the 20th century. A self-paced walk through the corridors and hidden layers of this building is a great way to spend a few hours while in Lincoln, and a reprieve from the city's football madness. Take your camera! There are millions of photo opportunities. The... More

A good trip to provide the kids with some education and history on Nebraska and politics. The art work inside is very interesting also.

We have a beautiful state capital building. There are tours you can take or you can go through it on your own. Lots of history and art. There is even a cafeteria if you need a snack.

We went to Lincoln on a Sunday, and decided to check out the capitol building. It was very dead though, we were the only people looking around. Although we did get to go up the tower to the 14th floor observation deck. Really nice architecture.

The state capital building in Lincoln Nebraska is just amazing. We were there on a Sunday and the halls were empty. We did a tour with Tim who really knew everything about the capital. The art work and floors are wonderful. We took the elevator to the 14th floor which has views of the city. The third floor overlooks the... More

If you're ever in Lincoln, visit the state capitol. It's an aesthetically pleasing building with a lot of character. As of October 2016, there is no security hastle to get in, unlike other capitols I've visited. The publicly accessible elevator goes to the first three floors and the 14th floor, where you can get quite a view of Lincoln. This... More
