This is an old remodeled movie theater and they present movies not readily available in the regular theaters. Prices are very reasonable and the popcorn is great also!

Was there for a private showing/gathering. Its a nicely restored theater to mostly original. They added bar seating in the main floor with elevated tables. The snack stand ticket window is per-request

Super great place to go and it won't break the bank. Movies are only $5 and popcorn and pop are $1 small/$2 medium/$3 large. The serve beer and wine also!

Sponsored and largely owned by a famous local screen writer, this theater seeks to give opportunities to see films that are extremely well made but not big box office and old time favorites. Not artsy but catering to those with a taste for something other than machine guns, pickup trucks and super heroes.

A local group has restored this theatre to its original glory. They show older movies or host special features but charge a reduced rate. It's staffed 100% by volunteers, so families will sometimes work together. They even offer alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the show!

This "restored" downtown theatre brings back old memories. But it has been revamped with new large and super comfortable seats. The pop and popcorn are "cheap" compared to your new theatres. Shows both old classic movies and some new releases along with special viewing of the upcoming TV "The Blacklist". If you are ever in Kearney don't miss it!

The World is a renovated movie theater from the early to mid 1900's. Volunteers staff the theater so movie costs are only $5./ ticket and concessions are cheap. Lots of character in this building. Many movies shown are old classics. Open Friday and Saturday evenings with a matinee on Sunday.

We truly enjoy going to the World Theatre. They have great movies, great prices and friendly people working there. The atmosphere is also nice as the seats are very comfortable and the space between the rows is very comfortable. They always have special programs for a variety of different venues as well as the showings of the Blacklist the days... More

The World Theatre has been restored to it's glory of yesteryear. Spacious room between rows of very comfortable and plush chairs that rock back. The popcorn is without a doubt the very best popcorn I've had anywhere. It's not to be missed. The theatre is staffed by volunteers that are delightfully friendly. The prices are low for entrance and treats.
