This was so close to our hotel we couldn't pass it up. I really enjoyed it. The lady working inside knew her history and did a fantastic job giving us the low down even when I said we were just passing quickly through. Cute little...More

This is a great stop! The lady on duty was very informative and able to answer our questions. It's a small museum but very interesting. The sod house was set up like it would have been originally. Also has Barb wire sculptures if a buffalo...More

Stopped here on a Sunday as we had driven by but never stopped. Even though it was closed, we could look in the windows and get an idea of the history.

I made a quick visit to the Sod House Museum. There was a very informative guide there. She was full of information about the early settlers on the prairie and homesteading. She taught me many things. Knowing Nebraska now, I realize the hardships the early...More

If you are in Gothenburg, this only takes a few minutes and it is fun to see. The building was not open when we were there, but just standing next to the "sod" gives you an idea of life on the prairie.

This little museum is right off I-80 in Gothenburg. Take the exit for Comfort Suites and Lasso Expresso and follow those signs. The museum starts with the big red barn just behind Lasso Expresso and the Cubby convenience store. If it isn't open yet drive...More
