Definitely putting into your itenirary if you love driving through the forest. Places to stop and view varying types of areas.

This area has everything! So peaceful, so serene. We got great pictures and met locals and visitors alike. Once is not enough. We will be back

Great hiking and driving. Well maintained roads, clean and a pleasant place to be. Get there late and see the stars.

This area, and forest is absolutely beautiful!! Be prepared as you explore, as the weather can change quickly. Also bring bear spray, as there are Black, and Grizzly bears

Teriable don't come never enough berrys on the north side. The grouse hunting takes at least 2 hours to get your limit.

We always stop to see the dam on each trip, just think they are amazing. Looking forward to snowmobile up the other side!

The Forest is absolutely beautiful, well kept and just amazing! Take your camera because you will need it to document all the beauty and wildlife too!

I am not sure about dog friendly restaurants in Whitefish/Kalispell. Best bet would be to call whatever restaurant you might be interested in and check directly with them. As far as GNP with a dog, check with the park... More

Check the web site. The management office is in Whitefish, they can better answer your questions. Sorry I can't be of more help.
