Overview
More
Whitefish Mountain Resort, in northwest Montana, is noted for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000 acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions. When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, in addition to spectacular hiking, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and more available in the greater Whitefish area. It is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley.

Lots to do here. This is an addition to my previous review: * The Gondola ride is great. Beautiful views. Well worth it. * The Summit Nature Center: Located in lower level of restaurant. Was rather disappointing. Small room. Some stuffed animals that are good...More

We were saying at the lake and in town for a wedding and decided to drive up the road to the resort and take the gondola up. We had a mixed crowd of kids, elderly and then us ( 40's Adults) so we weren't able...More

We rented a house by five star rentals on whitefish mountain near the resort and it was a fabulous vacation. We had a house that overlooked the ski mountain and it even snowed one of days. My granddaughter and her husband flew in from Georgia...More

We loved riding the gondola! Ticket sales staff were helpful. We went to the top to get milkshakes but their machine was broken or in repair so we just decided to go back down and found milkshakes elsewhere. Other than that, it was very fun...More

They run some of the lifts in the summer season, but everything had shut down before we got there in October for Canadian Thanksgiving. But we had heard a lot about the amazing "Danny On Memorial Trail" and weren't disappointed. It's not particularly challenging, so...More

I came here with friends and relatives in 2010 and always like taking the ski lift to the top and wandering around. Well let me be truthful; they make a killer huckleberry milkshake up there. Anyway, it was a great day as we had come...More

Traveled with family to Big Mountain on several occasions and it is awesome. The slopes are very wide and the lift lines are short. There are a large amount of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs so it caters for everyone's' ability. There is also a...More

If you don't enjoy large crowds and waiting in line, then keep this place to yourself. I'm almost scared to give this review, because it is an unfound jewel. Always something to do, very good restaurants, great skiing and beautiful scenery.

We hiked up the Danny On trail on a beautiful day. Autumn colors spread up and down the trail - reds, yellows, oranges, and purple shrubs. We even tasted blueberries and huckleberries along the way. At the top, panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and...More

This resort looks fabulous for winter sports, but we were there visiting Glacier National Park in the summer. We were disappointed in our views of Glacier National Park, due to the extensive wildfires, but did we ever enjoy our day on Whitefish Mountain. First of...More

I am not a skier. What I saw during the zip line course the slopes look awesome. I know that the snow here on the East Coast is a bit more "icy and dense" so I imagine the powder(y) snow of Montana would make skiing in... More
